The revelation of Jesus Christ is not at all a liberty to sin; it is freedom from sin. We are mistaken to think otherwise. Yet we carry this message in earthen vessels, in human frailty susceptible to temptation. To be saved, we must confess sin, claiming to be absolutely no good, and repent in the face of God Almighty. Faith must work. Christians are set free from death. The tough issue we face from then on is our continuing infidelity. None of us is fully consistent.
