We live in a society where "WHO?" is often in focus. In our newspapers, on our computers, in entertainment and politics we put a lot of emphasis on WHO. My granddaughter just turned four-an age when her "WHYs?" are constant. I wrote Little Owls WHYs for her as a celebration of that age, and a reminder to me that I must patiently take the time to produce real answers for her "WHYs". When children ask 'WHO?" they often don't learn much more than a name.
