Research on the interface between work and family has undergone tremendous growth in the last 35 years. In today's industrialized societies, the majority of parents work full-time while raising their children and balancing personal, relationship, and family needs, while managing household upkeep, and maintaining work responsibilities. People feel overworked and with not enough time to be a good worker nor a good parent, partner, child, and citizen. Finding ways to facilitate a positive integration of work and family roles is increasingly important - to individuals, to commerce, and to society at large.
