This early work is a fascinating read for the dance enthusiast or historian. Using a combination of written instructions and diagrams it teaches the quickstep, waltz, slow foxtrot, tango, rhythm dancing, etc., with variations, also old time dances, and hints on deportment, and ballroom etiquette. Many of the earliest books, particularly those dating back to the 1900s and before, are now extremely scarce and increasingly expensive.
