Modeling comprehension strategies is KEY for readers of ALL agesComprehension is gaining meaning from what you read. This is a complex higher-level thinking skill, but children from a very early age can begin thinking about what they have just read and tell you what a story is about. When children read, they must turn their "minds on" and actively think about the meaning of what they are reading.
