The Lord's Prayer is not a script to memorize - it's a way of life to embrace - a pattern built on the foundation Jesus laid - it is not just about making requests - it's about being formed.Prayer is not a religious hoop we jump through to gain spiritual credit. Nor is it a vending machine into which we insert the right spiritual coins. Prayer is a relational conversation with God. At its core, prayer is not primarily about getting something from God, it's about connecting with God personally.
