Born to Bjorn Ironside and the former slave-turned-shield-maiden Porunn, Freya Ironside was heir to greatness - but scorned by her father and left to be raised by her grandmother Aslaug. Trained by her legendary uncles, Freya rose as a fierce shield maiden and later as a priestess devoted to the Old Norse ways. Her fate takes a strange turn when she meets Elleswith, an elven creature.
