This book is the result of a keynote lecture I gave at a very productive International Virtual Conference held in Mexico in 2021. In it, I discuss the teaching of mathematics and the development of thinking in elementary education-a topic of undeniable timeliness, relevance, and significance. My goal is to stimulate your minds, to spark your curiosity, your doubts, and your need to ask questions, to find out, and to investigate how to do things better.
