I am Padrone, war horse of the Most High. I have been sent to earth to assist a peaceful nation named Baltric being attacked by an aggressive neighbor, Tiernan. It has been a long and brutal struggle. Their rag-tag army is near defeat, crops have been burned, and farmers killed. Worst, their king, wounded in battle, lies dying with no heir to take the throne.
