Three generations of three vastly different women, with the intricate relationships of mother, daughter, granddaughter, all writing a diary of their lives.Earline, a mother in the 1950s, is learning roles of wife and mother. Her writing reveals to herself her lack of grammar education, and once she conquers that, she also surprisingly deals with unexpected widowhood.
