The rapid usage of wireless-communications in personal, commercial and governmental capacities, efficient spectrum utilization has become a prime topic of interest. Most of the licensed bands suffer from under-utilization and less spectral occupancy of spectrum. Cognitive radio technology promising solution to the problem of low spectral occupancy and inefficient utilization of the licensed radio spectrum. A prime constituent of the cognitive radio technology is spectrum sensing.
