The central aim of this book is to highlight some of the reasons why farming families in the municipality of Catuipe (RS) have been suffering major impacts on their family incomes due to heavy indebtedness and consequent defaults. The period from 2006 to 2016 was taken as a reference and the methodology adopted was the interview method with a sample of 50 rural producers from the municipality.
