Given the oil industry's growing interest in optimising EOR methods, nanoscale systems have been used as thickening agents and rheology controllers. It has been proven that nanoemulsified polymeric systems, when compared to systems containing only polymers, promote an improvement in the performance of the recovery fluid, optimising its viscosity and rheological behaviour, as well as thermal and chemical resistance.
