This study broadly evaluates journalists' awareness, knowledge and the use of the Freedom of Information Act (FoIA) on journalism practice in Benue State of Nigeria. The study employed quantitative research using survey design. The research instrument used was the questionnaire. Findings revealed that most journalists in Benue State are aware of the Freedom of Information Act and its provisions, with a high level of knowledge about its value for journalism practice.
